Description
The KY-010 Optical Broken Beam Sensor Module is a compact infrared-based sensor ideal for detecting the interruption of a light beam, commonly used in Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and microcontroller projects.
This module uses an infrared emitter and receiver pair in a U-shaped (slot-type) design, making it perfect for detecting object passage or rotation—ideal for applications like rotary encoders, optical switches, line-following robots, and motion detection.
This module is ideally suited for precise object detection or counting, and will output a digital LOW signal when the IR beam is broken, allowing for fast and reliable event triggering in automation and robotics projects.
Its small form factor and 3-pin digital interface make it breadboard-friendly and easy to integrate into any electronics system.

Usage Tips:
