The KY-005 infrared transmitter module consists of a 5mm IR LED which can be used for many applications such as wireless data transmission.

The KY-005 IR Transmitter Module is the perfect solution for sending infrared signals in your electronics projects.

Whether you’re automating your home, building a robot, or experimenting with remote control functions, this compact module is an ideal component for Arduino and Raspberry Pi setups.

This is a bare soldered LED and is not current limited,which makes it EXTREMELY likely to burn out if a resistor is not used in series with the source voltage we recommend a 220 Ohm 1/4w resistor.

It works well with the KY-022 IR receiver module.

Compatible with popular electronics platforms like Arduino, Teensy, Raspberry Pi and ESP8266.
