The CD4017BE is a versatile decade counter/divider IC ideal for LED chasers, timers, frequency dividers, and sequential control circuits.
This DIP16 through hole package features a 5 stage divide by 10 Johnson counter with 10 decoded outputs and a carry out pin for cascading multiple ICs.
The counter advances on the positive edge of the clock signal and resets to zero on a logic high at the reset pin.
Each output pulses high for one full clock cycle, making this IC perfect for one at a time sequential applications.
